...not really "Van Gough-ish" I wanted to something different for Yori's birthday and then, saw this painting-effect and has been addicted so so so much! Anyhow, because of our crappy internet connection that made it impossible for me to log in in Livejournal, let's just do, the cross-posting!

Let it GoPulangabreaktownspicy sol editedhappybday yorihanson digitalquestion 2

For those who follows me on twitter, you guys know I have this very weird obsession to Frozen and I just love, I mean, love Queen Elsa! I was planning to make the colors darker but while tweaking, it looks way too dark.

A bird which I don't know what you call in English. I'm not really comfortable using my Nikon camera, thus, it made my shots all blurry. This is the only shot that passed on my very blurry eyes, and because I wanted it to be something like an Asian painting, yes, it ended up like that. For Hanson, I don't need to explain it that much ^^; Yori's birthday graphics and for this effect, I wanted to do it for Spicy Sol. Got lucky they uploaded a monotone image, but, honestly, it took me like 3 hours to finish it. And for Question?- 'nuff said.  ^^;

I was reading my entry about getting a certificate in Photography and MCSE. I got my photography certificates and it has been a year already since I enrolled!

Next- MCSE and my own Photography studio cos our house is so small to cater it!

and LJ's acting so weird (thanks for dreamwidth LJ-cross-posting thing.

I'm still not done cleaning and someone will check this table where I put my laptop.

For the second day of 2013, Yodogawa Yoshihiro (ex-Question? drummer) now have his very own twitter account, and he loves to tweet, take pictures of himself and the dogs, which made me extra happy and less cranky ^__^ I feel bad for the other members of Question?, but, seeing how Setunakuru-zu and Plan-B's success outside JE, I was hoping that Q? will follow, and start their own band, too (which I call "Answer!")  T_T

Second thing, my friend sent me some proposals for my photography business, and she's willing to help. I am totally happy because I'll be needing all the help, and how much I invested on this hobby, I should get a kickback, right? :P Anyhow, I wanted to this, rather being a technical help support, IT procurement or any other thing. I set my mind on this, and I just need to track the right path. Slowly but surely.

Oh, and I got a new camera. Still an entry level, but somehow, I'm starting to like it than Takki cos, it has 11-focus points, 14.2 megapixel (Takki is 10 and with 3 focus point), 4000 shutter speed. I'm still not sure how to edit the white balance temperature, but, yes, I'll be going there.

So, 2013 started good, so, hopefully, it'll last good. Now, it is time to make it a reality!

And, it is now, Renai Shashin. :D

I am bad in expressing myself, so, I'm sorry if this would turn out a bit vague, but, let me just let this thing out.

I'm an Olympus user ever since the the start of the digital world. My first camera was an Olympus point-and-shoot digital camera in 7 Megapixels. Years after, I got my very first dslr, and it is Olympus E-420. At first, it was a very complicated camera, and so difficult to use, for the fact that I don't have any idea on how to use it, except when I first joined a photowalk last 2010. A little bit of that, I managed to get an idea about those "technical stuff" and that's the start of liking it. After my short course, I managed to love it more, as it gives crisp and sharp images when printed I totally love it. The battery of E-420 can even last for a week when it's fully charged.

The down part of Olympus E-420 are, aside from the fact that it's small, the LCD is also small, as well as the view finder. It only have 3 focus points. But those are only minor flaws, that can be disregarded. E-420 is an entry level camera that gives a perfect outcome.

Then, here comes my Nikon D3100 (I didn't buy it so I don't have any rights to be demanding ^^;) I totally love how it is, and how bigger its LCD compared to E-420. The viewfinder is also pretty big, and it has 11 focus points, 4000 shutter speed, and can record videos. It also flashes a mark if the focus is right. A bonus point for Nikon!

I guess, the down part is the kit-lens it has on it. My Olympus e-420 lens (14-42mm), I can only use it on close-up shots and such. It's pretty difficult to use the 18-55mm for close up.

I'm just used to Olympus, but, I'll give Nikon a chance. After all, it's not about the camera, it's about the user.
bluetrain_777: (I heart Question?)

One of my favorite shots when my friend and I had a walk last Thursday night. I'm not really sure if this is called the Union Square, but, it's just near the Union station, so, apparently, it's called Union square. This area is one of my list to have a shot.

Why I like it? There's something mystical about this shot, which I totally love. (and I can't believe you can see Al Ghurair Mall :P)

Banyas at Night

When I take the foot bridge, I can't help but to look at the Etisalat Building. It's been on my top list everytime

Why I like it?- same as my pic no.1, except that, the structure of the building is really cool!

Mama Mary

This was when we went home in the Philippines for Vacation, and had this 300 steps at Kamay ni Hesus.

I just plainly love it :D

Agony in the garden

Also, from Kamay Ni Hesus

Why I like it?- It feels like I'm a bystander on this side, why Jesus is/was agonizing. (Agony in the Garden)

P5174044

A farmer, with his carabao, attending his farm.

- Who wouldn't love to see a farmer, attending his farm!

Mother's Love

My lovely pets, Bubwit and Kulasa.

Why I like it?- It's because Bubwit being herself and Kulasa, being an attending mom she is. Honestly, Kulasa hates all her liters cos, my Kulasa is, a spoiled and bratty dog. I'm just happy she listened to me, knowing I cannot be with her, to help her take her liters. And now, Kulasa, giving her love to Bubwit :D

It's pretty surprising that I can see the difference of my shots :D I do hope I could get better at this. At least, this time, I'm aiming it to be true.

Good night everyone.

I heart Question?

Typed that in MS Word and took a picture of it using Takki, and some tweak and stuff using Adobe Lightroom, and the monitor effect is pretty cool (looks like a linen paper)

off to bed now!

my comfort food

My comfort food, after all, I still have a Filipino taste! I do love Boy Bawang, and I can totally finish a pack in one sitting. Of course, some will say they're tired of it, but, once you are staying in a place far from you home, you have nothing to do but crave for those who are not abundant in your place.

It's already past 12 and I'm still wide awake. I was hoping of uploading the full moon, which was totally bigger and brighter compared yesterday, but anyways...

chibi buddha

the chibi buddha which we have for almost 4 years now. This little guy is always on my practice subject, but this is one of the rare shots that I managed. (It's not in center, I know ^^;)

chibi buddha

The same buddha, but, this time, he's on side view

Tumblr makes me look stupid, so I'm going to post my photodumps here!!!!

So, this will be my photoblog *insert all smilies here* Of course, I still need to add and update my tumblr, just in case I remember too.

So, apparently, all my stuff would be uploaded via flickr (hope I won't reach the 4MB monthly limit though^^) or anywhere.

so, there, yay for photoblog!

Baby Steps

I'm sure it's all about taking baby steps. This was taken last year when we're having a barbecue with our old neighbor from our old flat. I can't remember if she was dancing or running that time, but, I'm glad I have a good shot of her.

Because tumblr makes my head roll, I was about to make another journal at Livejournal (thank you so much again, to the person who gave me an invite code), but turned out that, I can't find any great photography communities to stalk/comment/whatever. So, here I am.

Pictures would probably be left in public, whereas private rants and/or other photos I got from friends would be in f-locked (or private in my case) Plus, I've been hearing some not so good news in LJ, so I don't want to open a photojournal there.

PS, I'm no pro. I'm just a newbie and wanted to know more about this expensive hobby of mine, adding my addiction towards to Question?, FiVE, HARU and SETUNAKURU-ZU
